Project Summary

The goal for this house like with all our projects is high quality painting done correctly, on time which ultimately last longer and saves the home owner money. The biggest challenge we face is competing with low cost painting companies whose work lasts only a short time before peeling.

We spend a considerable amount of time with proper surface preparation which is critical for long term performance with any type of coating or paint.

We started by pressure washing to remove loose and flaking old paint. Then we scrape all the loose chips. We prime the wood then apply two coats on the siding and trim. We used Sherwin Williams Duration Flat for the Hardi Plank siding and Sherwin Williams Duration Satin for all the trim.

As you can see in the photos we painted the wood decks and railings as well as the porch ceiling. For the deck floor we used Sherwin Williams Porch and Floor enamel.

The entire project took us about 2 weeks. It was a challenge since we had a tremendous amount of trim work which was painted white while the siding was in an olive green.
